SP & Company Group Post Wednesday!!!

Hi and Happy Wednesday!
Today I have a cute project that I gave my husband for Father's Day this past Sunday.  I saw the idea on the Paper Issues blog, so I scrap-lifted the idea and made my own.  Luckily, I have access to Photoshop and InDesign, so I was able to create my own files, sized the way I wanted with the colors I wanted.  It's a book made out of a deck of cards called "52 Reasons Why I Love You."  I thought that it was also a perfect excuse to use my I Love Love set.  Click on the pictures for a larger view.

I stamped some images from I Love Love onto the card and the label in brown ink after I distressed each card (front and back).  Then I smeared the stamped image with my fingers to give it more of a distressed look.  I punched the cards using my Crop-A-Dile II.

I also added some random embellishments and some small pictures to specific pages.  I left a few pages blank so my son could write in a few things and my daughter could scribble (she's not quite 2 years old).  My husband absolutely adored this - he said it was the best gift I've ever given him.  Yes, it took me FOREVER to ink and distress each card, but it was worth it!!!
