SP & Company June Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 3 of the SP and Company Color Hop! Today we will be showcasing projects by:

AJ

Amie

Chrissie (You are here!)

Emily

If you have arrived here from Amie'’s blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost or want to start over, our Color Hop starts at the Scrapmaster’s Blog.
Each month, the SP and Company Design Team will give you sneak peeks of new releases and projects from the 1st to the 6th and then, from the 7th to the 10th, we do a Color Hop using SP and Company products.

This month's color is Lime Green. Not only does the Design Team get to play with this color, but YOU do too! After you're done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month's challenge for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes!

The challenge is simple! Create a project using the color Lime Green. Your creation can be monochromatic (different shades of Lime ) or just mainly focus on Lime.  Please make sure that this month’s color is used in about 90% of your project. It is not a requirement to use SP and Company stamps for this challenge, but we’d love it if you do! You can link up your project on the Scrapmaster’s Blog HERE. You have until the 15th of the month (11:59 pm EST) to enter. The one random winner will win an SP & Company stamp set of their choice. Also, make sure to leave comments for all the blogs along the way because there will be random prizes selected from all of the blog hop participants. The more you participate, the more chances you have to win!

Now, onto my project!!!!

I couldn't wait to use my 2 sided cardstock for this one.  As soon as I found out the color was lime green, I was estatic becuase I knew I had some stock I could emboss and sand.  The stock is brown, but the green shows through.

The Queen Butterfly is is digi stamp and that background I embossed over it is a clear background stamp called Big Bold Background.  Both will be available at the SP and Company store starting tomorrow, June 10!  To achieve the look of the butterfly I took it into Photoshop and changed the outlines to a lime green.  After I printed it out and die cut the outer shape, I colored it in with my Prismacolor pencils.  Then, I heat embossed the background over it with clear powder and sponged some green ink over it all.  I also inked the outer edges with green ink, too.

Here's a close up:

I love the textured look it creates!!!

Don't forget these two sets come out June 10th!!!!

Make sure you play along with the Lime Green Challenge (see the details above if you missed them) to win some awesome SP and Company prizes! Thanks for stopping by today and stop back again tomorrow for our SP and Company GROUP POST!
