SP & Company Blog Hop Time!!!

This month's color is Purple! Join us the 7th through the 10th as we share purple projects using brand new SP and Company stamps that will be released on the 10th. Not only does the Design Team get to play with this color, but YOU do too! After you're done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month's purple challenge (click here for details) for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes! And don't forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog each day to be eligible for the prizes!!

Today I have an altered item for you! I've been wanting to make a gift box for a while.   With the new SP and Company stamp set, Sewing Chic (available August 10th in the SP and Company store), I knew I had found the perfect set to use on the box! This little box would be perfect to hold a pin cushion, buttons or even a small gift card.  You are going to love Sewing Chic! And if you have Stitchery Doo, you are going to love them together!

I stamped the sewing machine in a light purple, shaded with Copics, then 'colored' it in with white ink and a Q-Tip.  Then, I stamped over it again with a dark purple and added some Glossy Accents for some dimension.  I used the Q-Tip and white ink around the edges, too.

I had a lot of fun with this one.  I love making altered items, but I don't do it nearly as much as I should.  I'm always saving tins and containers, but not doing much with them!

Make sure you check out the SP Blog and see what Samantha did with the new stamps! Also, Kelli has a project for you today, so stop by her blog and check out what she has been up to.  Pop back in here on the 10th for the entire SP and Company Design Team Blog Hop!!!

Happy Hopping!!!

  1. Very cute! I love altered items too but just don't make them as often as I should as well. :)

  2. I also save tins and boxes with the intention of recycling and turning it into something cute. One day maybe I'll actually start!
