Halloween Treat Boxes

Halloween is also MY favorite time of the year, too!! Another thing Chrissie and I have in common :)

I came across the idea from another blog (http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/2010/08/spooky-box.html) and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make these for my son's Kindergarten class for their Halloween party. It was a little time consuming to do 25, and that's why I made my version far more simple than her original design, but I think the kiddies will LOVE these.

Since we have a peanut free request from the school, I had to use something else other than the beloved Reese's PB cups to put in these boxes. My son and I went to the store tonite (okay, my little one tagged along too, but he was sound asleep in his car carrier, so he had no idea!) to pick up some candy and I was thinking, thinking, thinking what else would fit in these...well, I found the PERFECT thing! We bought the Halloween shaped Lifesaver Gummies. They have mummies, spiders and other ghoulish shapes.

These were simple to make, and I'm sure you could figure out other candies to put in there to give them out. What's great about this simple design is you could make it for any holiday you wanted to-Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, the list goes on!!

I would love any comments!!! Thanks for looking!
