SP & Company DT Post

Hi and Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the week!!!!

Today is my first group post as part of the SP and Company Design Team.  I have few pictures to post, so prepare yourself!!!

I used the Hey, Mister! digital files for my card and matching tag.  Wow - love, Love, LOVE this digi set!

I love every single image included in this set, but for the projects I have today, I focused on the ties.  I was inspired by one of my husband's ties - it is one of my favorites in his collection.  In fact, I used the tie in the picture below!

I used my Copics to color in the ties.  I colored in two sets, cut them out, and paper pieced them together with some Pop Dots.  I wanted to give the ties a little bit of dimension - it's just something a little extra to catch your eye!

See how I added the dots in the center tie? That is to mimic my husband's tie! I used the Copic blender for that technique.  In this picture, you can really see the dimension of the ties and how the 'knot' sits a little higher up.  I also embossed the background of the card.  The Argyle just seemed to fit!

I also made a matching tag:

I used the same Copics on this tie.  I embossed the tag, used my Crop-A-Dile for the hole and added the red scalloped backer.  This way, the person giving the tag can write a note on the back - it's hard to write on embossed stock!!!

Here are the two together:

A fun little set, no?

I seriously can't wait to play with those moustaches in that digi set... That is next on my list!!! Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you check out all of the other SP & Company's DT posts.  You can check them out on my sidebar or go HERE to Samantha's blog.
