I just love the retro feel of this image! This Pretty Lady is available HERE at the SP and Company store.
A little close up...
I die cut the digi image using a Spellbinders die and used Copic Markers to color her in. Then I sponged the edges with brown ink. I am loving 2-sided papers these days, so I wanted to showcase that in this card. Oh, and did you see the stitching around the edges? Yep, I'm a sewing maniac! :-)
And the matching gift card holder:
I used Pretty Lady again, so it would have the same feeling as the card. But this time, I stamped some dots in VersaInk before I colored it in the Copics. You can see in her hair the effect that it had. So fun!
The button at the top holds the gift card holder closed, but here is a picture of it, starting to open....
Even though I chose to use this for a Mother's Day gift, this image is so versatile, you can really use it for any occasion. It is even perfect for the Holidays - can't you just envision this on a package of handmade cookies????
The inside:
I added some stitching around the edges.
And NO, I didn't give my mom a Chili's gift card. I just used it to show you where the gift card sits. I left the other side open - I placed a hand written note in there.
