BE Inspired #21 Challenge

Hi!
I was finally able to sit down and make a card for the BE Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps! Woo hoo!

Here is the inspiration picture:

I saw that big red heart and thought immediately of the little crab from the Sea Mates set! And I knew I wanted to create sand from the tan sugar cookies and the little heart sprinkles (they reminded me of a splattering of sand or water).  Can you tell I'm already thinking of summer?

I dry brushed some paint onto the background and then used my scoreboard to create a border once it was dry.  I also used my Spectrum Noir markers to color in the crab and to add the dots to create the illusion of sand.

I also added some Glossy Accents to the crab's eyes and the splash of water (from Tropic Topic).  I think the sentiment is hilarious, too!
