Hi!
How many times have you wanted to make favors for a party (or even a treat for Valentine's Day) and you've resorted to candy or something else unhealthy because you just can't think of anything else (or don't have the time)?! I am guilty of this, so I decided to try to make some pencil toppers.
It was easy-peasy! I just cut a 1.5 x 1 sheet of card stock and then cut slits on each end (about 0.75 inches). They adhered to the actual topper that I created using some dies, Crafter's Companion stamps and my Spectrum Noir makers.
My Daughter was ALL OVER these as I was making them. I barely got the pictures taken for this post and she swiped them! I guess it's a hit with the 3-year-old crowd!
I used the dragonfly from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic Flying Colors. I purposely stamped it off the edge and then I colored it in with my Spectrum Noir markers.
Those sunflowers are from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic Provence and the other flowers are from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic French 50's Cafe.
I also added in a background stamp on one of the toppers from the Stamp It Australia Collection: Travel Script.
These were so fast and simple to make. I adhered everything using my Crafter's Companion Red Tape. They are still all together, as I type this, even with a 3-year-old playing with them for 2 weeks! I hope you'll give these a try!
Thanks for stopping by!
