Hi!
I was lucky enough to be able to attend a local Chicago Bloggers event at
Blitsy last week, called Crafts & Crafts. It was fantastic and so much fun!
I went along with my bestie,
Roxanne (we are both lucky enough to be a part of the
Blitsy Creative team) and I was able to bring my daughter, too! She has done a few projects and videos for Blitsy, so she got her very own badge and place at the event. :)
I've been to Blitsy HQ a few times - I've done a few videos for them (check them out
here - they are FREE) and I'm the Creative Team Coordinator. But it's ALWAYS a good time going there, so I never pass up a chance to pop in!
There was a little cocktail hour happening when we first arrived with some drinks, snack and juice!
And our badges we received - I can't even explain how excited Rachel was!!! :)
We each got a set of coasters and a burlap wine bag to work with...
Oh, and a kid's craft for this one! :)
I used some washi to create a chevron coaster and also some stencils. I used acrylic paint and then coated it with
Mod Podge so it wouldn't come off from use.
My daughter made some donut inspired coasters (Roxanne made some awesome ones you can see on her
Instagram), plus she decorated some doilies and bags, too.
And, there was a FUN photo wall set up! Let's just say that was a hit! :)
We all used the hashtag #craftsxcrafts on Social Media, so search that for more pictures!!!
