This card was created using the NEW Highland Travelers stamp set.  To add the hat on, I stamped it on a post it note and then cut it out.  Then I stamped in onto cardstock and placed the post it over it.  Finally, I stamped the Officer directly onto the same cardstock.  By doing this, the rest of his head was masked out and I was left with the Officer and the hat, together, as one image!

I colored him in with colored pencils and cut him out using my Scan N Cut.  The background was created using the Cracked Stencil.  Since the inspiration for this guy is a jerk and he shatters everyone's lives around him, I felt like this was a good background for him!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to head on over to the Kindred Stamps store to check out the release!

I used the Highland Travels stamp set and new Celtic stencil for this card.  I gently added some ink to the top of the cardstock using the stencil, then added more to create a faded effect.  Then I splattered some ink onto the background.

My little Scottish guy (check out his kilt!) was colored in using colored pencils and blending solution.  I cut him out with my Scan N Cut.

Tomorrow is release day, which means more creations to share! Make sure to join the Facebook group and head back here for more inspiration!

Kindred Stamps August Release Time!

Hi! It's here! The Kindred Stamps August Release is available! I'm using the adorable Costumed Crew stamp set. I do love summer, but there is just something about fall and Halloween! Squee! So, I was really excited about this release!

A unicorn dressed up as a mermaid?!?! Can it get any better!?!?! I colored him in using colored pencils and then I used stamps to create a watercolor effect for the background.

Oh wait! It CAN get cuter! A corgi in a pumpkin!!! Notice how I colored him in like my corgi (he's a Cardigan, not a Pembroke).  I'm pretty sure if I tried to get mine to jump into a pumpkin, he would just try to eat it.  Then eat whatever bugs might be in the area, lol! Plus, how much fun is the new Jack O'Lantern stencil?!?!? I used glitter paste to create the background with this stencil.  This card was so simple to make, but really packs a punch.

Lastly, this sentiment is just hilarious. I created the background by blending inks on watercolor stock and then flicking water onto it.  The kitty is colored in with colored pencils.  I used the Crystal Star sequin pack, too.

Kindred Stamps August Release: Costumed Crew!

Hi! It's almost new release time at Kindred Stamps! I'm sharing one creation I made using the Costume Critters set (more posts to come this week showing more sneaks).

I created the background using the Jack O'Lanterns stencil and some foil.  The sloth was colored in with colored pencils and fussy cut.  I added some vellum to soften everything up a bit.

Both of these sets are just adorable, aren’t they? I so rarely combine different companies so I loved using multiple sets together. I added some sparkle and shine using Sparkle Markers and DecoFoil.
