Concord and 9th MasterClass at StampNation!

Hi!
The newest MasterClass with Concord and 9th is up at StampNation! In honor of it (because it's truly amazing), I created a card!

I used the Eat Cake and Celebrate Stamp Set.  This has become my go-to set! I create so many birthday cards and celebration type cards, so this one really comes in handy.

I even created a sentiment inside, which is rare for me.  But I really like the fonts in this set, so I couldn't help myself.

Using Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock, I brushed some gold watercolor (from Gansai Tambi Starry Color Watercolors) onto it.  I let each layer dry to build up the gold.

Then, when the paint was dry, I heat embossed the images and sentiment.  Then I added Glossy Accents to the cake and stars to make them pop.  Even though it's not obvious on camera, this card really shimmers in real life, between the background and the watercolor!

Stamp of Approval MasterClasses!

The MasterClasses have begun at Stamp Nation!!!! Squee! First up is "Creative Mediums for Card Making" taught by Faber-Castell!

I wanted to share a card I created using some fantastic Faber-Castell products!

How great is all of that texture?!?!? I used Glass Bead Glitter Gel along with a Mixed Media Stencil.  Instead of using it as a stencil, I adhered it to the card base with the gel.  I laid the Gel on pretty thick and let it dry for a few hours.  It made everything so shimmery!!! Then, I scribbled with Iridescent Gelatos (colors Stardust, Galaxy and Blue Moon) and blended them together with my fingers and a paper towel.

To finish off the card, I used the "happy" die from Catherine Pooler's Spot On Sentiments die bundle and stamped "birthday" from the Simply the Best stamp set.
