Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz

Hi All!
I'm participating in the Waltz for the first time!!!! Unfortunately, I don't have any WMS sets yet, but I plan to change that very soon.  The new Halloween sets are just too cute to pass up on! Anyway, in keeping with the Halloween theme, I decided to try my hand at  making a Halloween vintage card.  This was actually my first attempt at distressing on my own (I've done it before at make & takes).

I used Kraft cardstock for the base of the card and I stamped some bats all over the background in Versamark Ink.  I stamped the sentiment and pumpkins in black in and colored them in with my Copics.

Then I used some Tim Holtz distressing ink and I applied it with the Ranger Ink Blending Tool.  This gave the card a distressed look and made the bats pop out.  On the pictures, only a few bats show up, but in person, they are all over the card!

Here is the finished piece:

I know that it means summer is over and all, but I just love Halloween!

Thanks for looking and I'm really looking forward to this Waltz!
