SPCC Color Combo Challenge #104 - My Take

I promised you that I would post my project for this week's SPCC color challenge, so here it is!!!

I had fun with this one! I embossed the background, then painted it with some Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paint.  Once it dried (um, I couldn't wait - I helped it along with a heat gun), I sanded it and then sponged some brown in on there.  It kinda has a leather-y feeling - it's super cool!

That sweet little birdie is a digi image from SP and Company and I also stamped SP's Big Bold Background on that scalloped circle in VersaMark.  The flowers are from Hero Arts and I colored them in with Copics to get a perfect match.

Remember how I mentioned I had fun with the embossing and painting? Yeah, I had to make a tag, too.  I just couldn't control myself!!!

I cut out the tag with my Cricut (Sweet Treats cartridge) and used the same technique I used for the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!
