Hi!!!!
Welcome! If you are here for the Crafting By Designs Blog Hop and you've arrived from Sharon's Blog, you're on the right track!!! If you get lost, you can start at Doris's Blog. You can also get the full list at the Crafting By Designs site! The theme is Wings and Blooms. Yay for Spring!!! I made two cards - I just couldn't resist! The weather in Chicago has been wonderful recently and it's really put us all in such a Spring-y mood!
For my first card, I used my stamp set All Zipped Up. I just love the pocket stamp!!! How about those butterflies and flowers pouring out of the pocket? I thought it was too fun. I also added some stickles to the little blooms and that die cut butterfly. The butterflies are Papertrey Ink and the blooms are Stampin Up. The patterned papers are from Echo Park.
My second card is much simpler. I've seen this technique done before and I thought it would be the perfect time to try it.
I simply die cut the butterfly from a Papertrey Ink die. Then, I wrapped two different colors of twine around a strip of paper and adhered it to the inside of the card. I covered it with some blank stock (no one likes a messy card!!!) and added the little sentiment (SP & Company - All Zipped Up).
Now, do you want to win some awesomeness???? If you do, just hop along and comment on the blogs (we'd also appreciate it if you followed us, too!!!). You have until 11:59 PM EST March 19, 2012 to comment. Winners will be drawn on March 20. Don't forget to leave your email address so we can contact you if you win!!!!
And take a look at the Crafting By Designs site. It's free to sign up. We have challenges every week and there are always prizes to be won. It really is a great group of friends over there and we are always looking for new friends to share our creativity with! Check it out!

The pocket idea is great and so versatile. I;m really struck by it. Love it!! I haven't seen the twill used like the way you have in the second card. This is so awesome another way to use my scrapbooking stuff. Thank you for sharing. Francis Ames, AmesCrafts.blogspot.com
