Party Time!

Hi! I hope your week has been going well!

I have a fun CAS card to share today using SP & Company stamps and ink!

I really love the new Premium Chalk ink.  The stars (from All Zipped Up) and stamped in Flamingo Pink and they just happen to match papers from past Monthly Kit Clubs at SP!

I die cut the hexagons and then selectively stamped some of the sentiments from the Happy Banners set.

Thanks for stopping by!

SP & Company February Release Day!

Hi and welcome to the SP and Company Blog Hop!

There are some absolutely fantastic new releases available at the SP& Co store right now, so head on over!

For my first project, I created a pretty simple card using the new Certified Awesome set.  I just love, love, love this set! There are so many creative sentiments to use and I love the multiple banners that are available!

I paper pieced the banner and popped it up using adhesive dots.  I thought it would be fun to use some spray mist in the background to compliment the polka dots.

I also created a mini album using Certified Awesome and the new Leaf Background along with some papers from the January Kit Club.

On the cover, I stamped Chevron Chase and the star from All Zipped up, along with some stickers and bling.

Here is the new Certified Awesome set again, with some hearts from the Tiny Build A Banner.

For this page, I used a sentiment from Certified Awesome along with Mix N Match Sentiments: Kids.

This is one of my favorite pics in the album.  Doesn't my daughter look annoyed? You can tell she was sooo tired of me taking pictures all day at the Children's Museum.  :)  I used the letters and banners from the Tiny Build A Banner for this page.

I kept the album very simple - it's just a little memento of our day together.  My husband and son were in Cooperstown, NY at the time for a baseball tournament, so my daughter and I spent the whole week together with my mom while they were gone.  This was one of the fun things we did, so it was nice to look back and remember this summer while I created the album.

I added the little line from Journal This and the sun from Falling for Autumn and some ribbon to finish off the book.

Thanks for stopping by today! Please head on over to Sami's blog to see the full release and more inspiration! And don't forget about the DT call we are having right now! It ends on February 20th, so you still have time to apply!

Onto my first card! I used the pocket from All Zipped Up along with the Winter Pocket Fillers set, which is brand-spanking new and was just released TODAY!

For the candy canes, I stamped them and colored them in (Spectrum Noir markers) and then I added some glue and super fine glitter to them.  After the glue dried, I just tucked them into the pocket.  The "you" is from my Falling for Autumn set that came out last month.  I just inked up the "you" instead of the entire sentiment.

For my next card, I focused on the Valentine's sentiments and images from the set.  That little heart is perfect inside the pocket or standing alone.  I inked the background of the die cut lightly with Chevron Chase in a tea colored in, just to tone the white down a little bit.  If you click on the picture, it will enlarge and you will be able to see it more.

Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! And don't forget to hop around to each Design Team Member's blog - there are brand new projects with the stamps that came out TODAY to inspire you!

A Little Gift "Purse!"

Hi! Today I'm excited to kick off a week full of inspiration on the SP Stamps blog! We are all focusing on gift ideas this week and I decided to make good use of my Silhouette.

I started out by cutting out a darling purse, matching accents and a tag from plain cardstock and papers from Echo Park's So Happy Together 6x6 paper stack.  This stack is one of my all-time favorites and was available in the SP Monthly Kit Club.  I chose this particular cut because that center slot holds a gift card!

After the pieces were cut, I started stamping and adhering everything together.

I stamped the chevron on the little tag and I only inked up the area that I would need.  Remember, if you don't have a block large enough for some of our background stamps (like Chevron Chase, pictured above), you can just use the acetate that the stamp comes on as your block.  It's also perfect when it's 2 am and you're still stamping, but getting lazy.  Oh, I'm not saying I do that or anything, it's just an idea.  Wink, wink.

Here's a little close up of the tag and a flower I created using punches.  I love to mix and match patterns, so I also used the Large Polkadot Background stamp along with the papers and Chevron Chase to keep it interesting.

Inside, I stamped the sentiment in black and in watermark ink, so it will sit right behind the gift card.  This is from the Swirly Doo set.  It fit perfectly inside!!!

And this is the finished piece.  The little "Happy Birthday" on the tag is from the All Zipped Up set.  I think this would be a fun gift for anyone to receive - I know my mom already had her eye on it!

Make sure you stop back each day this week to see what the entire DT will be sharing.  And don't forget that new stamps come out each month on the 10th!

You are One of a Kind!

Hi! Today I thought I'd go into my stash and use the pocket stamp I created for the All Zipped Up set.  Even though I originally designed the pocket to hold a gift card, I thought it would be fun to "stuff" it with other images.

I chose to use some stickers from Echo Park's Sweet Day kit (that was in the SP Monthly Kit!!!).  They just worked really well with the pocket.  I made the pocket black and heat embossed it with white so it would realllllyyy stand out against the pastels.  I don't normally do anything this bold.

I think it's a fun concept and a cute card.  It shows how incredibly easy it is to use products from the Monthly Kit Club.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

A Vintage Inspired Card

Hi! Being that this week is 'Old Stamps Week' here on the SP Stamps Blog, I decided to go with a Vintage-Inspired card to stick with the 'old' theme!  I pulled out my All Zipped Up, Artsy Heartsy and my Bold Sentiments I sets and got started!!

I trimmed the front of the card smaller than the back and adhered some patterned paper on the inside so it would show, even when the card was closed.  I love the way this looks on cards!

After the sentiment was added to the front, I die cut some banners and I stamped the pocket from All Zipped Up on some coordinating stock.

I also stamped a heart from Artsy Heartsy to add to the pocket.  I love the versatility of the pocket stamp - there are so many things that can go on the outside, as well as stuff popping out from the inside!!!

For a finishing touch, I inked up a wooden die cut and added it to the pocket.  LOVE!

Here is the finished card:

I think it's perfect for a wedding or an anniversary!

Moxie Fab Gingham Challenge - Part 1

Hi and Happy Mother's Day!
Today I want to share two different cards I created at a crop last night (woo hoo!!!) for the Moxie Fab Gingham Challenge.  I will share one in this post and the other in my next post.

I thought it would be fun to use my pocket stamp (All Zipped Up) I designed for SP & Company and stamp it with Gingham.  I used a Papertrey Ink stamp I had on hand for the silverware (colored with Copics) and I created a faux napkin using some Lily Bee stock!

I think this card is so fun! Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out the Moxie Fab blog and the other entries in this challenge!!!

Bright and Fun Mini Cards

Today I want to share my project for Mini Card Week! Oh, how I love mini cards!!! The cards I created today are all fun and bright and I used my newest Spellbinders dies (Labels Four).  And don't forget that there are now Spellbinders dies available in the SP & Company store!

Here are the dies that I used, in action (well, not really in action, but right after they were in action):

Those fun papers are from Echo Park's Candy Shoppe Kit - *Swoon*! They are all 2-sided and  I love the look of the dots and stripes together.  For the pink one, I die cut the same frame twice and then die cut the center afterwards.  I used some pop dots to create a really cool frame.  I LOVE how it looks!

The joy of creating mini cards is that they are quick to do, and you can use your scraps since they are all small (which I did - ALL of these cards were made with scraps).

I made sure all 3 of my cards had similar elements (the sentiment from Stitchery Doo Banners was stamped on a die cut), but they all have different layouts.

I think this one is sooo fun! I love the different patterns all placed together.  I simply cut that yellow strip and added some tissue tape I had on hand, then placed the die a little off-centered onto the card.

One card done!

For this card, I stamped the grid from Journal This onto the base, cut the pink strip, sewed it onto the card and then placed the die cut onto the card.  Those little circles are from my All Zipped Up set.

Second card done!

For my last card, I stamped Large Polkadot at the top, and took some scraps and stamped the small banners from Stitchery Doo Banners.  I added that die cut and....

Card three done!

I love using mini cards to give as gifts, too.  It's so easy and fun to create little note cards and box them up! If you don't have a scoreboard to make the matching envelopes, I've seen them at all of my local craft stores and online, too.

Thanks for stopping by today!
