Father's Day is Coming!

Generally around Father's Day, I hang my head down in crafty shame because I have such a limited supply of masculine stamps, papers and dies!  Honestly, I think I've conditioned my husband to expect at least some form of glitter or sequins on his cards.  Ha!

But... my crafty self-shaming can be lifted because Crafter's Companion just released the new Sara Davies Signature Collection: Just for Men! It is perfect for anything masculine (and pretty much anything else, too, it can be used for anyone, not just men)!

This card does have sparkle on it (see what I mean? I can't help it!), but it works! I used the Pop Dotty Embossing folder and only partially embossed the front panel (to do this, don't run the folder entirely through your die cutting machine; stop it before it finishes).

I die cut some of the gears out of Watercolour Cardstock from the Cogs and Gears die cut set and colored them in using Spectrum Aquas Aquamarine and Kingfisher, as well as Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens Aquamarine, Spun Gold, and Sterling Silver.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Rock Star set and I flicked some Sterling Silver onto the panel to cut some of the harshness of the plain white cardstock.  This also helps tie in the color on the gears and highlights the partial embossing.
