February Crafter's Companion Challenge

Hi!
Have you played along in the Crafter's Companion February Challenge yet? If not, it's time to get your shimmer and shine on! This month, we are all about adding some Sparkle to our creations!

This image is from the Sheena's A Taste of India: Henna EZ Mount stamp set.  I think it is one of the prettiest ones out there.  And, honestly, it's really fun to color! I used my Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils (046, 048, 013, 076, 079, 029, 061) along with the blending solution.  In the picture above, you can't really see all the sparkle (don't worry - keep reading - I have a shiny example below!).  The outlines of the stamp were heat embossed so they would really sparkle and I added some Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz and Memento Fireworks Dandelion spray.

I know the below picture isn't the best, but you can really see the sparkle, so that's why I'm sharing it!

To finish off the card, I used a sentiment from the Die'Sire Sentimentals: Vintage EZ Mount stamp set.   I figured the flower looked nice and warm and inviting, so the sentiment matched!

Crafter's Companion October Challenge

Have you played along in the October Crafter's Companion Challenge yet? The theme is buttons and bows!

I used the Sentimentals: Imagine set along with some Memento Fireworks Dandelion spray.  I don't normally use very many buttons OR bows, so I was really glad I did this challenge to push me out of my comfort zone.

September Challenge at Crafters Companion!

Hi! It's the first day of a new month and that means there is a new Challenge at the Crafters Companion Challenge Blog!!!! This month's theme is dots and stripes. 

Here is my card:

The image is from the Mulberry Woods collection.  I colored him in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I used circle dies and punches to create hills.  Pretty cute, huh?

Crafter's Companion August Challenge

Hi there!
Are you ready for another challenge? It's time for a new month over at the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog! You have PLENTY of time to play along, so let's see what you've got! :-)

The theme is Friendship.  I created a sweet card and I named it "A Flower for a Friend."

I think the image is so sweet.  It's called A Little Bit Sketchy - Busy Doing Nothing.  The little girl reminds me of my daughter and she's always telling me that we're best friends (she's almost 3, so I'm going to enjoy this while I can!) and she's picked plenty of flowers and given them to me.

I used actual ribbon and placed it over the bow on the image to give the card a little definition and I added some spray mist and baker's twine.  The flower also has some glitter glue on it, but it's hard to see in the picture.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color in everything. The markers were E85, DG3, GB8, GB10, PP5, BG4, FS2, CR9, CR8, GT2, GT3, and the Blender.

Crafter's Companion Challenge - July

Well, hi there! In case you missed yesterday's post, I have some awesome news: I am now on the Crafter's Companion Challenge Team and the Crafter's Companion Design Team!!! I was so, so, so very excited when I got an email inviting me to join the team!

So, without further ado, here is the card for my very first challenge!!!

I used Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic: 50's French Cafe set.  L-O-V-E! I chose to color in the images with colored pencils instead of markers (I know, GASP!) since I felt it should be softer and I like the effect that colored pencils paired with mineral spirits gives.  I dry embossed some Kraft cardstock and die cut the window.  I cut out the flowers and adhered them with some foam pop dots.  The banner was cut using a square punch to make that banner end.
