Die'Sire Edge'Ables: Creating a Sparkly and Textured Card!

Hi!

I created a fun, sparkly card using the Die'Sire Edge'ables Borders Renaissance die.

I grabbed some 8x8 Shimmering Gold Dust Cardstock and cut it to 4.25 x 5.  I placed it on the edge of the panel and held it down with washi tape.  I ran it through my die cutting machine.

This is what it looks like:

Then I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4.25 x 11 and scored it at the 5.5.  I also cut a piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Treats pack to 2.25 x 5.25.

Then, using an X-Acto blade, I trimmed off part of the front of the card base.  I took off enough to leave about 2.5 inches (I trimmed it down further after I took this picture).

I cut the Rose Pearl to fit in the inside of the card.  Having multiple layers makes this card nice and sturdy!

Next, I placed the front panel down onto my surface and made sure it was protected.

First, I added some Magenta Stickles to the die cut area.  Once it was dry, I added the Golden Rod.  I added two colors to give a little more interest to the card.

To create a custom tag, I die cut a rectangle using the Die'Sire Essentials Rectangle out of Gold Dust.  I stamped the sentiment from Die'Sire Sentimentals Nature EZ Mount Stamp set and distressed the edges.

To finish everything off, I cut a few strips of ribbon (shaped like roses) and tied some twine on it.  I then attached the tag to that twine.

I adhered the ribbon to the front of the card!

The finished card has so much texture from the multiple Stickles and ribbon!

Classique Christmas Words Only Release

Hi! I have such a fun card to share today! Die'Sire has come out with some seriously awesome dies for the Holidays! They are from the Classique Christmas Only Words line and this one is called Bah Humbug.

I couldn't help but giggle when I used this die.  :) I paired it up with the A Little Bit Nordic Embossing Folder and the Stamp It Australia Holiday: Poinsettia stamped in VersaMark ink.  I love being able to create my own backgrounds.

To highlight the die, I placed it on top of two die cut pieces I created using Die'Sire Essential Dies: Rectangles and Scalloped Rectangles.  To really make the sentiment stand out, I also added some 3D Crystal Laquer to make it shine.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi! Later today, the new Nordic Christmas line will be available from Crafter's Companion.  This release is simply FANTASTIC! I know it's tough to think of the holidays right now, but this makes it easier.  :)

There are stamp sets and embossing folders being released! I used the Christmas Cheer set for this creation and I colored it in with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored pencils:
Deer: 090, 094, 088, 053
Hat/Blanket/Shoes: 032, 033, 043
Scarf: 061, 063
Lights: 014, 049, 021, 069, 027

I also die cut the sentiment out using the Die'Sire Essentials Scalloped Rectangles dies and added some color to the background with Broken China Distress ink.  Oh, and some Frosted Lace and Cranberry stickles were added for that finishing touch!

Don't forget to check out the new release later today AND pop back becuase I'll have another creation for you this week from this release!

Only Words!

It's here!!!! The newest release from Crafter's Companion is now available! Woo hoo! Only Words is so fun! There are so many fantastic dies.

I used the Special Friend die for this shaker card.  I inked up some cardstock with Delicata Golden Glitz, then die cut it out.  I created a shaker, but used vellum for the window of the Die'Sire Essentials Hearts Die window instead of the standard acetate!

These die make any creation quick, fun and easy! Thanks for stopping by!

Crafter's Companion Edge'ables Dies

Hi! Crafter's Companion has some amazing dies coming out soon! They are from the Die'Sire Edge'ables collection and they are flat out fabulous!

I used the Congratulations die! There are so many possibilities with this! Ack! I ended up heat embossing some pearl powder in the "TO YOU" area so it pops up inside the die cut.

To finish the card off, I added some simple sequins. This card is simple, but still elegant and perfect for a wedding or a graduation card (something I need a lot of this time of year)!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Adore Heart Aperture Dies

Hi!
Crafter's Companion has just released more Die'Sire Create A Card dies and they make life so easy! These dies create the card for you!

This die is called Adore.  It is so intricate and beautiful! I simply used the die as an embossing plate on my card panel, added Distress Inks (Barn Door, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon) and then die cut the die on black and added certain elements from the die to the card. The sentiment I chose is from the Sentimentals: Greetings EZ Mount Stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed a glimpse of this amazing die!
