Embossalicous!

Hi!
Later today, Crafter's Companion is releasing more embossing folders! I am sharing a creation I made using the Embossalcious Deco Swirl!

I used Distress Inks (Broken China and Mustard Seed) as watercolors.  I sprayed them with water and painted into the embossed areas.  The sentiment is from Sentimentals: Imagine.

Thanks for stopping by... Now, time to shop!!!!

Smile!

Hi!
I have a layout to share today.  What?!?! Yeah, it's been a while, but I am trying so hard to get back into scrapbooking and not just cardmaking.  I really enjoyed making a layout!!!

I used the brand new embossing folder from Embossalicious called Bird Houses.  There are some brand spanking new folders out at the Crafter's Companion site!!! They are all super cute.

I used Spectrum Noir Markers (LG3, LG5, LG4, CT2, CT5, CR9, GB6, CR6, CR7, BT3, BT3). The stamps are from Camden Town: Female 1.

I also colored in some enamel dots I created and some wood shapes using my Spectrum Noirs so everything would match perfectly!

Those amazing pictures of my daughter were taken by Roxanne O'Brien of Laughing Boys Studio.  If you are in the Chicagoland area, I can't recommend them enough.  Both Ashleigh and Roxanne are fantastic photographers.

Thanks for stopping by and here's to more layouts in the future!!! :)

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hi!
It's World Card Making Day and some of the Crafter's Companion DT Members have decided to make some cards to celebrate!

For my card, I die cut a window and then stamped the lovely Sheena's A Little Bit Floral: Iris under it.  I colored it in using Spectrum Noir Markers ( I used CT3, CT4, HB1, HB2, HB3, LG3 and LG5).    Then I selectively embossed the bottom using the Embossalicious Petite Dots embossing folder.

I finished everything off with a die cut sentiment and some twine.  Voila!

Crafter's Companion is giving away a free stamp set in honor of this holiday! All you have to do is play along and create a card! Details are up on the blog.

I hope you are having a fun and crafty World Card Making Day!!!!!

Crafter's Companion Christmas in July Celebration!

Hi there! Merry Christmas! Crafter's Companion is celebrating Christmas in July right now! I love thinking about the holidays, no matter what time of year it is, so I was all in for this celebration!

Embossalicous has some fabulous new holiday embossing folders that will be available very soon! I used the I Believe folder and I think it looks stunning paired with the sentiment from Sentimentals (also coming soon!) and Memento's Golden Glitz Delicata ink (coming soon to CC's store).

To create a window that was in the same position for multiple layers, I placed them all together and held them in place with washi tape.  I decided to add the woodgrain stock after I took this picture and I simply drew a light line with a pencil so I knew the die placement and then held the die in its spot with washi tape.

After everything was die cut, I ran the top panel through my Cuttlebug using the I Believe folder.  I also held this with washi tape.  I had the santa in the exact spot I wanted him in and I didn't want any movement!

Once it was embossed, I wanted to add the gold ink to it and I wanted to create a slight gradient (ombre effect).  So, I started at the top and went down towards the bottom, always adding ink to the top, so the coverage was heavy there, with less at the bottom of the card.

Here's a close up of the finished card:

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out the Holiday Celebration!!!

Flowers!

Hi! I wanted pop in to wish you a Happy Weekend.... And to share a fun card I made using some Crafter's Companion supplies!

I stamped the flowers on the edge of the paper using Memento Tuxedo Black and then trimmed around them so the card base would show through.  After that, I masked off the flowers and stamped the solid flower around them.  The flowers are from Sheena's Flower Power and the sentiment is from the freebie set that comes with the Crafter's Companion Magazine!

So bright and fun! And check out that embossed background - LOVE!

I used the fantastic Embossalicious Lattice 6x6 folder to create that look.  And I added some Stickles to the center to add an extra little pop. I colored the flowers in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I love that I was able to match them closely to the ink!
