I created a shaker card! I went with the green (for Starbucks, of course) and used Lawn Fawn dies, sequins and stamps.

That cute little coffee cup is part of the Love You A Latte set.  The window was created with the Scalloped Circle dies and the sentiment is Scripty Thanks.

A Sweet Thank You!

Hi!
Today I wanted to just walk you through my process as I made a thank you card.

I created this card for my daughter's sitter and the reasoning behind the thank you is bittersweet (hence the ice cream image for the 'sweet' part.  See what I did there?!?! LOL!).  She has been our daycare provider since my daughter was about 10 months old.  My little kiddo just turned four and started Preschool.  So, as happy as I am that she is in school, I am so incredibly sad to be leaving this amazing woman that has cared for my child as her own while I was at work everyday.

I pulled out my supplies and kind of played around with the stamped images inside the die cuts.  Sometimes when I don't know where to start, I start laying out stamps and dies to see what works.  That gives me a good starting off point.

Once I decided on how I wanted to have the stamp sit inside the dies, I cut them out.  I used Lawn Fawn's Lawn Cuts Circle Stackables and Scalloped Circle Stackables.  And the stamp set is Here's the Scoop.

The next thing I did was gather some scraps and I cut them all the same width.  I have scraps everywhere.  And I mean EVERYWHERE.  They are in drawers, little boxes, on my desk, etc.  So, I love it when I can get rid of some of them use them.

I decided to turn the scraps into banners by using my square punch.  I just use the corner of the square punch and voila: banners!

I left them different lengths.  Who needs uniformity, right??? :)

I added a little spray mist to the base of the card....

Then I colored in the little ice cream cone and background using Spectrum Noir Markers.  And at the last minute, I re-cut the scallop in black card stock instead of a patterned paper.  Since I wanted to stamp the sentiment in black in, I figured that would pull the card together better and I wanted the image to pop a little bit, too!

And here is the finished piece:

Stamps: Lawn Fawn
Dies: Lawn Fawn
Sequins: Lawn Fawn
Spray Mist: Studio Calico
Patterned Papers: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Tuxedo Memento Black
Markers: Spectrum Noir (BT1, BT2, CR4, CR6, CG2, CG3, Blender)

Happy Birthday Kelly Marie!

Surprise!!! Happy Birthday Kelly Marie!

You should have arrived here from Chan's blog.  If you get lost, you can go HERE, to the beginning of the hop at Tiffany's blog!

For my card, I wanted to use doggies because I know Kelly Marie is such a dog lover! So, I pulled out my Critters in the Dog Park set and paired it with the banner from Blue Skies, party hat from So Much to Say and letters from Milo's ABCs.

For the background, I die cut some clouds from Blue Skies and then inked around them in the background. The card base was created from the Circle Stackables and Scalloped Circle Stackables Lawn Cuts!

You next stop in our little hop is the simply amazing Nichol Magouirk!

Happy Birthday Kelly Marie!!!!
