Crafter's Companion on HSN TODAY!

Hi!
Today is the big day! Jennifer Tyron is on HSN all day, sharing new Crafter's Companion goodies! Yay! I can't wait to watch everything!

In honor of the event, I created a holiday card using the Sparkle Pens available in the Holiday Sparkle Set, which will be revealed today!

I stamped Sheena's A Little Bit Festive: Christmas Cocoa on Premium White Cardstock and then colored in it using the Holiday Sparkle Pen Set (Colors Red Berry, Pine, Smoked Quartz, Spun Gold, Fig, Sterling Silver, Holly Leaf, Hearthside). I also dipped into my Sparkle Pen collection and used a small amount of Sea Breeze (from the Vintage Beach set) in the background.

Those splatters were also created with Sparkle Pens! I just used them along with a waterbrush to not only color, but to create that background too!

To finish off the card, I used the Sentimentals: Mistletoe Kisses EZ Mount Stamp set along with Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock and Candy Red Shimmering Cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to watch HSN! Join us on Facebook for sneak peeks and giveaways!

A Little Bit Festive!

Hi! The newest release from the Sheena Douglass line, A Little Bit Festive, is here! They are all so fabulous - it's no secret that I love this line!

I used the Wishing You A Merry Christmas set for this card.  I love using non-traditional Christmas colors, so I went with soft colors for this.  Hey, by the time December rolls around, I'm usually wishing for Spring, so these colors work, right?! :)

I created the background using Distress Inks: Peacock Feathers, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves along with some Frosted Lace Stickles Glitter Glue. I also used Spectrum Noir Markers BT3, BT4, LV1 to color in a few simple images.

A Little Sneak... Sheena's A Little Bit Festive!

Sneak Peek time! Sheena Douglass has some adorable new stamp sets coming out for Crafter's Companion! They aren't available until June 19, but it will be well worth the wait!

I decided to use the adorable faux hearts, color them in with Spectrum Noirs and then embossed them (using Petite Dots).  I also added some Walnut Stain Distress Ink to make them look more worn and realistic.

And because my husband always complains I don't put anything on the isnide of my cards - I added the sweet sentiment inside along with a button.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creating Snow Drifts

Hi! It's a new week and I've got a fun card to share!!!

I used Sheena's A Little Bit Festive: Christmas is Coming. Just a fun little reminder that the holidays are right around the corner!!! I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color in the truck in red. I added a little green to the tree, too.

To create those soft snow drifts, I used a Q-Tip along with some white ink.  I just rubbed it on the ink pad and then used a circular motion on the card to create the look.  It's easy to do and I think the effect is fantastic!

A Little Bit Festive!

Hi! I have a darling card to share today! I used one of the images from Sheena's A Little Bit Festive.  I love, love, love this image so much! It looks just like my daughter on her bike, pretending to be a princess or a fairy!

I dry embossed the background and then sponged some white and brown ink over it.  Then I colored in the image with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out.  I normally fussy cut really close to the image, so this time I decided to leave a little space and to try something I don't normally do! I added some glitter glue to the wand and to her wings, too!

To finish off the card, I added some chipboard accents and twine!
