Flying Beauties

Hi! There are some new and AMAZING embossing folders available in the Crafter's Companion store!

Finally! The Sheena range has more embossing folders (and they totally coordinate with her stamp sets)! I used  the Flying Beauties folder for this card and I inked it up with my Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade).

I also colored in a butterfly from the Flying Colors set and added that in, too.  I colored it in with Spectrum Noir Markers (OR1, OR2, OR3).

Now, head on over to the store and go shopping! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Wild about Washi (and Crafter's Companion stamps)!

Hi!
I've been on a bit of a Washi Tape craze recently and I discovered that if I use Staz On ink, I can stamp on the Washi without it smearing.

I love the quality of my Crafter's Companion stamps.  They are super crisp and clean when they stamp.  All of the details shine through with no problem, which is fantastic for coloring (or not) them in with my Spectrum Noir markers.

The dragonfly is from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic - Flying Colors and the sentiment is from Beatrix Potter - A Winter's Tale.

You can really see the detail of the image in this picture - I simply adore that dragonfly.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to pop on over to the Crafter's Companion Blog.  We have a new Design Team! I am not kidding - these ladies are absolutely FABULOUS and you are going to have your socks knocked off with inspiration!!!

Elegant One Layer Card

I want to share a fairly simple but elegant card with you.  I created a rainbow effect with the background stamp by inking it up with three different colors and blending them together.

Then I simply stamped the butterflies and dragonfly fly in black Memento ink.  I added a little bling and rounded the corners.  I distressed the edges just a little bit, too.

This is a simple, but effective card.  I so rarely create one layer cards, so this was a bit of a challenge for me.  I think the eye is drawn diagonally up the card because of that beautiful florish in the background.  All of these stamps are from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic Flying Colors.
