BE Inspired #26

I'm playing along with The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired Challenge.  I missed the last one, but I was able to squeeze this one in!

This is one of my favorite color combos, so I was excited as soon as I saw the inspiration picture!

I used the Sittin Pretty set.  I colored in the cat and yarn using my Spectrum Noirs.  I added some stripes to  the cat and I used the palette blending technique to mix the oranges and browns together.  I fussy cut the cat and the yarn and popped them off using adhesive foam.

I also stamped the yarn three times, so it would carry over on each layer of the card and continue off the page.  The little yellow heart is from Kitchen Gadgets.  I added it in to pull the yellow from the twine all together.  :)

Now, onto my card:

I used an older Hero Arts cupcake stamp I had and colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers.  Since the sentiment referred to sprinkles, I drew a few in and used  some Aqua Delight Timeless Twine to create the rest of them on the cupcake! I was inspired by the image of the cake to use this stamp.  I also selectively embossed the bottom of the card - I loved the texture on the cake in the inspiration picture!

I have to say that their Twine really is awesome! Not only do the colors just pop off the page of my projects, the quality is fantastic. I loved the twine so much, I decided to make a card and a tag!

I thought it would be fun to show the twine not only as a wrap-around for the 'mason jar,' but also as a pom-pom!
