Now, onto my projects!
Banners are all the rage right now and this new set, Stitchery Doo Banners is sooo awesome! I am in love with the fonts used in this set. There is something about them that just makes me happy!
I also used the Dainty Flourish background behind the flower. I created the flower with some punches, inked the edges and I sprayed it with some glimmer mist to give it that extra pop. I've always loved yellow, gray and purple together! I added a little paint to the background of the purple stock, too, for some texture.
I love how the stitches on the Stitchery Doo Banner set coordinates with so many other SP Stamps I have in my collection! I think it pairs perfectly with the pocket stamp from All Zipped Up, so I created a fun little tag/gift card holder. The pocket opens up so you can place a card or cash in it.
I stitched the two sides together and added the "To:" and "From" on the back and it was complete! I love the idea of combining a tag and a gift card holder together.
Have I ever mentioned that purple is my FAVORITE color, EVER?! Really. I can't get enough purple. And when it's paired with teal = *Swoon alert* For this one, I embossed some textured stock, sanded it down, and then cut it in 1 inch strips. The banners are from that rocking Stitchery Doo Banners set again and they work perfectly with this card. The teal polka dot stock is from Echo Park, available in the SP & Company store. Don't forget that Echo Park papers are included in most monthly kits, so you always have new and fun papers to play with!!!!
Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! And don't forget to hop around to each Design Team Member's blog - there are brand new projects with the stamps that came out TODAY to inspire you!
