There are more than 20 participants on this video hop and there are prizes to be won!
  • One comment from each video on the hop will be chosen to win 2 Catherine Pooler inks of your choice.
  • One comment from the whole hop will be chosen to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Ellen Hutson LLC.
  • One comment from the whole hop will be chosen to win a prize pack valued at over $100 from A Jillian Vance Design.
And because today is also Ardyth’s birthday, she’s contributing three $25 Gift Certificates (one to Ellen Hutson LLC, one to Catherine Pooler Designs and one to A Jillian Vance Design) to three randomly-chosen comment on her video on YouTube.

Ellen Hutson April Color Trends Challenge!

Hi! I am so beyond excited to be playing along in this month's Color Trend Challenge over at Ellen Hutson! It's the Drama Queen Color Palette and check out these colors! I happen to love purples and blues, so these colors were right up my alley!

I used the Essentials by Ellen Mermaid's Tail stamp set and coordinating Designer Dies. This set is just too cute!

I stamped the tail on vellum using a few different color inks, cleat heat embossed it and die cut it out.  I also foiled some Peel N Stick Toner sheets and die cut that out, too.  I wanted to create a bit of a foiled drop shadow behind the tail to show off the vellum.

For the background, I watercolored using Aqua markers.  I pulled it all together onto some Turquoise Sea cardstock and added the cute little shell die cuts.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will play along to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Ellen Huston Store!!!!!

Ellen Hutson:Pin Sights Challenge

Hi!
I'm playing along in another Pin Sights Challenge!!

This pin is beautiful, but so out of my comfort zone! I so rarely so soft colors, so I was anxious to push myself.  :)

I used two different Essentials by Ellen dies: Zipper Panel and Bold Blossoms.  I die cut the blossoms and held them down with respositonable adhesive.  I used my Spectrum Aquas (Blossom, Wild Rose and Bud Green) with water to create that effect.

For the die cut, I rubbed some Memento Delicata Silvery Shimmer onto cardstock and then die cut it out.

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you play along!

Dies: Essentials by Ellen
Ink: Memento
Markers and Watercolor Paper: Spectrum Aqua
Other: Waterbrush
