Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge

Hi!
Today some of the gals on the Crafter's Companion DT are playing along with the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! The theme is Anything Goes With Buttons.  I had NO buttons (my daughter literally used every last button I had on her little art projects), so I had to substitute the buttons for sequins!

I used Crafter's Companion Stamp It Feather Script along with Shimmer Frost and the Moroccan stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I also used some translucent embossing paste along with Distress Inks (Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord) and Dandelion Fireworks spray.

The winner of the challenge will reeive a gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!!!

Pinspired Challenge #22

Hi! Welcome back to another Pinspired Challenge!!!

We are sponsored by Xyron! I love their adhesives - I used them to create the card below!

This card was created using this die and stencil from Simon Says Stamp, plus the super cute sentiment and image from The Alley Way Stamp's set Tropical Hideaway.

The cutie Toucan was colored in with Spectrum Noir markers (Blender, OR1, OR2, OR3, IG2, IG5, IG9, CT4, True Black).  I created my own glossy accents using Enamel Accents from Ranger and then coloring them in with CT4.

I hope you will play along with us!

Spray: Studio Calico

Pinspired Challenge #21

Hi! Welcome back to another Pinspired Challenge!

We have a fabulous prize pack this time around, provided by our very own Lalo!

Check out all of those goodies (fibers are May Arts) and play along to win!

I used the color scheme from the inspiration picture and I also loved all of the little dots, so I added the splatters with my Studio Calico spray mist.  I decided to make the little pie slice a non-normal color for two reasons: 1. Because I could (HA!) and 2. The inspiration picture.  It was colored in using my Spectrum Noir markers (LV1, PP2, PP4, GT2).

The stamps are from Lawn Fawn's Happy Feast and the banner is actually a tag die from Tag, You're It that I cut down.  All of the little hearts and stars are from this Simon Say Stamp die.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn
Dies: Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp
Paper: Cougar, Bazzill
Ink: Memento
Markers: Spectrum Noir
Spray: Studio Calico Mister Huey's Spray Mist
Other: Cuttlebug
Adhesives: Xyron, Crafter's Companion

Pinspired Challenge #15

Hi!
I'm back with another fabulous Pinspired Challenge!!!

We are sponsored by Kiwi Lane! They are offering a $25 Gift Certificate to the challenge winner! Here is a little about them:

Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking is a passion that all three of us have shared for a long time. It is something that has brought us together on countless occasions and strengthened our family bond.

Our frustration grows
The idea for Kiwi Lane started in 2008 while we were scrapbooking together. We were complaining to each other that most of the samples that we found in magazines and online were for one-picture, one-page layouts and depended heavily on expensive embellishments to accomplish their look. Although the layouts were beautiful, recreating them was hard on our budget and we preferred designing two-page layouts so that we could fit more photos and tell a more complete story with each layout.

“Framing” is born
It was this frustration that led us to develop a new style of scrapbooking that provided endless inspiration and simplified the scrapbooking process. We called this technique “Framing,” and it changed the way that we scrapbooked, allowing us to add as many pictures as we wanted and end up with a beautiful, balanced, professional layout every time.

Because the process took advantage of the gorgeous prints and patterns in our paper stashes, we were also able to create pages that were stunning without spending a small fortune on traditional embellishments. As scrapbookers ourselves, this new technique solved all of our concerns and we fell in love with it!

By scrapbookers, for scrapbookers
Soon after this we realized that this was something that would benefit all scrapbookers at any level, and we felt a strong desire to share it with others. We have gained such a sense of satisfaction as we have watched our Kiwi community grow, and as others have discovered the way that “Framing” enriches their scrapbooking experience.

If you know someone that is intimidated by scrapbooking or cardmaking, but would like to get into it, please share with them our video on “Framing” at www.kiwilane.com.

I had to create a baby shower card for a friend, so I used this challenge badge as my inspiration.  I figured the birds would make great baby chickies! I used all Lawn Fawn stamps (see list below) and the dies are from Simon Says Stamp.

I was inspired by the nest to add that twine up at the top! I colored everything in with Spectrum Noir markers (TN3, TN5, TN6, TN9, DR4, GG1, CT3, CT4, BT2, BT4) and the birds were paper pieced with Lawn Fawn patterned paper.  I finished off the card with the grouping of the hearts and stars and some 3D Crystal Lacquer on the face of the train, stars and heart in the "o."

I hope you will join us for this challenge!!!

BE Inspired!

Hi!
I am finally settling into our new home, so I've been able to create again! Yay!!!! I wanted to play along in the Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired Challenge #33.  It's been a while since I've been able to play along and I've missed it!

I'm also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes!

I was inspired by the grey in the image above to color in the main image only in grey scale! I thought it would be pretty cool.  I added the three yellow balls because of the inspiration image and because I wanted that pop of yellow.  :)

I used the clown from Admit One and the sentiment is from Petal Pushers.

Everything was colored in using Spectrum Noir markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi,
I hope you are enjoying your Mother's Day.  I wanted to share the card I made for my mom this year.  I was inspired by this amazing card that I saw and I just had to give my own version a try!

I used two older SP & Company sets, Stichery Doo and For Every Woman.  And... I used the new SP & Co. Premium Chalk Ink in Clown Fish, which I looooovveeee.  I simply adore the coverage I get with these ink pads.  They are amazing!!!

I sponged the yellow first, using distress ink and die cut those little hearts.  Then I stamped the dashed lines.  I thought the bling would be a great addition!

I think the sentiments are just so sweet.  My mom loved the card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: SP & Co.
Ink: SP & Company (Clown Fish orange), Memento (Tuxedo Black), Ranger Distress Ink (Mustard Seed)
