My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette 04 Challenge

Today I'm participating in the My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette 04 Challenge!

I love the stamps that My Time Made Easy creates! This challenge was a bit, well, challenging for me.  I don't often use Peach or Seafoam Green.  Ivory and Kraft aren't a problem, though!!!

I decided to make a baby card for this one.  I honestly don't own much in Peach, scrapbooking or otherwise.  Nothing against it - I just look horrible when I wear it (I'm too pale), so I steer clear of it in general.  But I did find some peach and seafoam green stock in a baby pack I had from DCVW!!! Woo hoo!!! That worked out well - not only do I have a ton of friends that are pregnant right now, I was able to use the cute Papertrey Ink Teddy Bear stamp!!!

I stamped the bear twice and paper pieced him together.  I used two PTI dies (banner and scalloped rectangle).  I also stamped the "LOVE" sentiment onto some Bazzill green stock with seafoam green ink from Martha Stewart.  I was so happy to use my new Stampin Up confetti stamp, too! I adore those little ABC's at the bottom of the card!

To finish it off, I added a PTI sentiment in the upper left corner and I drew some stitching around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to play along with this week's My Time Made Easy Color Challenge!

Verve Stamps Diva Dare

Happy Friday!
I'm here with another fun challenge! This time, I'm participating in the Verve Stamps Diva Dare!

Here are the details:

We dare you to make a card, project, layout, or whatever fits your stamping style using this month's theme - Baby Love!  The baby part could be for a new little someone...or a special someone!

My daughter inspired me to make this card.  She's 17-months old, going on 10!!! She's still a baby (well, toddler), but she tries to be so grown up already.  She's such a little helper around the house, so I didn't want to make a baby-ish card.  I wanted to make something a little more grown up, but with a little girl touch to it.

My 'baby' touch is the adorable Butterfly stamp from Papertrey Ink's Baby Button Bits.  But, instead of using buttons for the body, I used some pearls hearts and turned them upside down.  It just seemed appropriate for the "love" part.

How could I not photograph this card without a pair of shoes (that stopped fitting her a long time ago)?! :-)

I colored in the wings with colored pencils and used two Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles Dies.  Both sentiments are from Papertrey Ink's Little Bitty Bird set.

Thanks for stopping by today and I'd love to hear any comments you have!

Baby is Brewing...

These days, I have SO many friends that are pregnant! It must be contagious!!! Being that I have quite a few showers to attend, I made a group of cards using the Friendship Jar by Papertrey Ink.  All of the cards are the same theme (Baby is Brewing).  I just love the concept of the baby is brewing... If I was throwing any of these showers, I'd play on the tea idea with the favors and the theme of the shower!!!

On each of the cards, I used Tuxedo Black ink for the outlines and I used VersaInk for the "tea."  I colored in the ice cubes with Copics and I added Glossy Accents to make them stand out a little bit.  The Glossy Accents really show up on the bottom picture.

I had so much fun making these cards!  I've used this set over and over again - it is probably my absolute favorite.  It really can be used for so many different things!

For the two cards that are corner rounded, I used my Zutter Corner Punch.  All of the background papers are from DCVW.

I'll have some more posts for you soon!

Thanks so much for looking and I'd love to hear any feedback you have!

Baby Card

Tonight we are going out to dinner with our friends and they are expecting a baby boy in December! EEEEE!!! So, I figured I had to, at the very least, make them a card! Being that I just bought a ton of Papertrey Ink items, I couldn't resist using the "Enjoy the Ride" set.

First, I die cut the car outline and stamped it in black ink.  Then, I used my Copics to color it all in.  I finished it off with some Diamond Glaze for the window and headlights.

I added the sentiment in the upper left hand corner, tied a bow out of twine and inked the edges.  I also added a Congratulations sentiment in the inside.

Simple, but effective - my favorite type of design!!!

I'm planning on participating in the Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz for the first time this Tuesday, so check out the info on their blog (http://waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/2010/08/august-friends-of-waltzingmouse-stamps.html) to join in on the fun!
