Spectrum Noir October Challenge!

Hi!
It's a new month, so that means it's time for a new Spectrum Noir Challenge! And we're making it easier than ever to play along with us each month! If you choose to follow the theme our design team is using, you'll be in with a chance to win $30/£30 in Spectrum Noir products. Don't want to use that theme? No problem! Add any project you like to our challenge gallery, and you'll be in with a chance of winning top card honors!

For my creation, I used Spectrum Aquas Orange, Black, Bud Green, Moss, Purple, and Orchid along with a waterbrush. Once they were dry, I spritzed some water onto the background to create those splatters.

To create the no-line watercoloring effect, I stamped the vampire image in Distress Ink Scattered Straw so it would blend in as I colored with the Spectrum Aquas and water.

I hope you will play along to win! Click HERE to enter!

Pinspired Challenge #20

Hi!

We are sponsored by Snake Tape!

Scrapp'n Supplies brand self-adhesive rhinestones and glue tape runners are the lowest cost at the highest quality on the market. Are you a serious scrapbooker? I wanted to make sure to have that banner and a representation of those lights in my card, so I created a banner using Lawn Fawn patterned paper and added some enamel dots in between each banner.

Those super cute pumpkins are from the Paper Smooches Spookalicious set.  I colored them in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I added the spray for a finishing touch.  Since the picture looks like it was taken around dusk, I though black spray mist was appropriate!

Pinspired Challenge #1

Wow! How time flies! It's the first full week of the New Year and that also means it's time for the Pinspired Challenges to start! Woot woot!

Our sponsor is The Alley Way Stamps for this challenge (they are seriously awesome - I just ordered some of their stamps after Christmas and I'm IN LOVE!).  Pop on over to their blog to check out their adorable creations!

I used one of their freebie digi images for this card.  I colored it in with my Spectrum Noir markers, added the sentiment and the polka dot stamp at the bottom, then I added washi tape to the base of the card and popped the front out with adhesive foam (see below for all supplies used).

I thought the polka dots were perfect for this challenge since that cake is full of them! What do you think???

Now it's your turn to play along and win! Head on over to the Pinspired Blog to link up - you can win goodies from The Alley Way Stamps!!!

Mama Elephant Color Challenge #1

Hi! I hope you have been having a wonderful holiday! I have a card to share that I think is pretty fun.  I participated in the first Mama Elephant Color challenge.

This is one of my favorite color combos ever, so I had to play along.  And I LOVE the idea of glitter having to be used with these colors!

I created a shaker box using some My Minds Eye Papers, a free Mama Elephant image and a Paper Smooches sentiment.

I heat embossed the sentiment on acetate.  Even though the bird is on a different layer and sits behind it, it still looks like it's sitting on the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!

BE Inspired #17

I'm back again, playing along with the BE Inspired Challenge #17.

The bright pink with the green scared me at first - I rarely go bright.  So, I pulled out my Spectrum Noir markers, crossed my fingers, and went with it!

I was pleasantly surprised with the result of the pink and green together! I picked this (freebie) tree to use because I thought the circles emulated the ornament really well.  I also did the sunburst in honor of the different ribbons.  I kept it clean and simple, but I think it really works.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure to check out all of the other entries and creations over at The Alley Way Stamps Blog!
