SP Trends Challenge - Washi Tape

Hi there!
Are you ready for the next Trends Challenge? Evgenia picked the challenge this week and it is one of my favorites - Washi Tape!

I used a few different washi tapes in this card.  I added the clouds at the top and bottom along with the center of the sun and some yellow woodgrain in the remaining suns.

I popped up the center piece of the card with pop dots so it would sit above the washi background I created.  The sentiments are from the new Certified Awesome set and the suns are from my Falling for Autumn set from my Vintage October line.

I hope you'll play along with the Trends Challenge! There is always an awesome prize up for grabs! Check out the details on Sami's blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

SP & Company February Release Day!

Hi and welcome to the SP and Company Blog Hop!

There are some absolutely fantastic new releases available at the SP& Co store right now, so head on over!

For my first project, I created a pretty simple card using the new Certified Awesome set.  I just love, love, love this set! There are so many creative sentiments to use and I love the multiple banners that are available!

I paper pieced the banner and popped it up using adhesive dots.  I thought it would be fun to use some spray mist in the background to compliment the polka dots.

I also created a mini album using Certified Awesome and the new Leaf Background along with some papers from the January Kit Club.

On the cover, I stamped Chevron Chase and the star from All Zipped up, along with some stickers and bling.

Here is the new Certified Awesome set again, with some hearts from the Tiny Build A Banner.

For this page, I used a sentiment from Certified Awesome along with Mix N Match Sentiments: Kids.

This is one of my favorite pics in the album.  Doesn't my daughter look annoyed? You can tell she was sooo tired of me taking pictures all day at the Children's Museum.  :)  I used the letters and banners from the Tiny Build A Banner for this page.

I kept the album very simple - it's just a little memento of our day together.  My husband and son were in Cooperstown, NY at the time for a baseball tournament, so my daughter and I spent the whole week together with my mom while they were gone.  This was one of the fun things we did, so it was nice to look back and remember this summer while I created the album.

I added the little line from Journal This and the sun from Falling for Autumn and some ribbon to finish off the book.

Thanks for stopping by today! Please head on over to Sami's blog to see the full release and more inspiration! And don't forget about the DT call we are having right now! It ends on February 20th, so you still have time to apply!

SP Trends Challenge #2

Hi!
We're back with another Trends Challenge! This time, the trend we are challenging you to use is Hexagons! I looovvveee Hexagons, so I was pretty excited about this one!

And here's my take:

I thought it would be fun to have the center of the sun from my Falling For Autumn set pop out a little bit, so I used my 3/4 inch punch to add some hexagon patterned paper to the center.

For the sentiment, I used one from the new Happy Banners set.  I love it when all of my SP stamps work together!!!

Pop on over to Sami's blog for the full details of the challenge.  You have just under two weeks to play along - she has an InLinkz button for you to link up and share your new Hexagon project with the world!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving... and a few more cards!

Hi!
I wanted to share three cards that I created using previously released stamp sets from SP & Company.

All of the stamps in the above card come from my Winter Pocket Fillers set.  I thought it would be really fun to mix and match different patterns.  I just love the sentiment!

I created this one in honor of Thanksgiving.  I always think that it gets lost between Halloween and Christmas, so I love the fact that the Falling in Love with Autumn set has a little Thanksgiving love on it!

For this card, I used papers and a brad from Merry & Bright.  I masked off the image (from the Winter Pocket Fillers set) with a Post It note and then scored it after it was colored in using my scoreboard.  I love the finished piece.

I hope you have an amazing week!

Thanksgiving Project

Hi! Today I have a fun Thanksgiving Project! I made multiple place cards so I'm ready for our Turkey Day dinner (it's less than a month away!!!). I made these assembly line style, which really made this go fast. I used images from my Falling for Autumn set.

Because I knew that I would be cutting the pumpkins out, I colored them messily.  I used the large end of my marker to save some time and then went back in with the smaller end for the details.

I cut a mask out of a Post It and stamped the leaves on the side of the card.  Then I colored them in.  I like the subtle look of the colors on the Kraft.

Finally, I used my scoreboard to add the embossed line on the top and side of the card.  I attached the pumpkin using foam adhesive and I stamped the hearts from Winter Pocket Fillers.

Once we know who is coming to our little Thanksgiving soiree, I will add the names in.  In fact, there is a PERFECT SP set coming out  November 10 for this step.  You are going to love it!!!!

Boo! Tag

Hi! Today I'm still in Halloween mode and I have a fun little card that I whipped up using the heart image from Winter Pocket Fillers and a few other images from Falling for Autumn.

I stamped the heart on patterned paper and added the little spider in the middle.  Then I grouped it with some extra buttons and embellishments in the corner.  The main tag was cut from a Spellbinders die.

I love making custom treats for Halloween, and these tags are super easy to made in bulk! Thanks for stopping by and pop back every day this week - we will be sharing more Halloween inspiration every day!

Boo to You!

Today I have a card for Halloween Week!!! I just looovvveee Halloween! I combined stamps from Winter Pocket Fillers and Falling for Autumn.

How fun is that mini notepad? I turned it into a tag by simply adding an eyelet and some twine.  I thought it would be really cute to have a mini spider hanging from the corner

The owl is my homage to Harry Potter! I just drew in that lightning bolt.  I'm a HP freak so I thought it would be a fun little touch.  I colored everything in with alcohol markers and I stamped the hat onto patterned paper.

Remember that those glasses and owl are perfect for a teacher card, too - this set isn't strictly Halloween!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Onto my first card! I used the pocket from All Zipped Up along with the Winter Pocket Fillers set, which is brand-spanking new and was just released TODAY!

For the candy canes, I stamped them and colored them in (Spectrum Noir markers) and then I added some glue and super fine glitter to them.  After the glue dried, I just tucked them into the pocket.  The "you" is from my Falling for Autumn set that came out last month.  I just inked up the "you" instead of the entire sentiment.

For my next card, I focused on the Valentine's sentiments and images from the set.  That little heart is perfect inside the pocket or standing alone.  I inked the background of the die cut lightly with Chevron Chase in a tea colored in, just to tone the white down a little bit.  If you click on the picture, it will enlarge and you will be able to see it more.

Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! And don't forget to hop around to each Design Team Member's blog - there are brand new projects with the stamps that came out TODAY to inspire you!

Owl Wish You a Merry Christmas!

I'm really excited to share this card with you today! It is one of the first cards I made with the September Release and it features an image from my newest stamp set.

This set is called Falling for Autumn and it's my favorite set I've designed so far.  Autumn is my favorite time of year (as you can probably tell from the title of my blog, Harvest Moon Papiere), so when Sami asked me for an Autumn set, I was all over it!

But wait!!!  We are highlighting CHRISTMAS this week, not FALL! Oh, no problem! That little owl can be anything with just a little help from another awesome stamp set, the Christmas Medley Stamp Set.

The hat from Christmas Medley fits perfectly onto the little owl! Fun, right?!?! So, I just stamped each piece, colored them in and cut them out.  Once I had them on the card, I stamped the sentiment, added the snowflake and used my scoreboard to add the little lines at the bottom.

I finished it all off with some white spray mist.  For the white, since it was stamped on Kraft and I wanted it to really stand out, I used a white colored pencil and pressed really hard.  The rest of the owl and hat were colored in with alcohol markers.
