Merry and Bright!

Hi!
I wanted to share this tag I created with supplies from Crafter's Companion! The holidays are here, and that means it's really time to get cracking on tags and cards!!!

This tag was so easy to make - I used the premade Ivory Pearl Shimmering Tag.  I stamped the snowflakes from Stamp It Australia Twinkle: Falling Snowflake and heat embossed them in gold.

To finish off the card, I stamped that stunning sentiment from Sara's Signature Collection: Contemporary Christmas Festive Sentiments. I love this set!

Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolored Tags!

Hi!
I'm still on a watercoloring kick! I don't think it will ever end.  I really like to use my Spectrum Aqua markers.  :)

I die cut a few tags (using watercolor paper) and stamped them using Stamp It Australia Around the World, Sentimentals Vintage Floral Greetings and Sentimentals Imagine EZ Mount Stamp sets. I heat embossed them in white.

Then I used Spectrum Aquas to add some color! I used colors Red Violet, Aquamarine, Orchid, Gold, Sunset, Fawn, Bud Green, Sunflower, and Yellow.

I always like to have some tags around for last minute gifts.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Lawnscaping Challenge #71

Hi!
I'm here with another Lawnscaping Challenge.  This one is great because you can use it for your holiday gifts!!!

Simon Says Stamp is our sponsor!!

I decided to create three similar tags using the Tag, You're It Lawn Cuts, Winter Gifts Stamp Set and Bows & Holly Stamp Set.

I masked the wreaths using Post It notes and colored them in with Spectrum Noir Markers (DG2, DG3, DG4, DR3, DR5, DR6, TN2, TN3, TN6, BT2, BT4).

The twine was a mix of Timeless Twine and American Crafts.  I also added some white using a pen to create highlights and shimmer with my Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you'll play along to win a gift certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store!!!

Simple Tags

Hi there!
I wanted to share some simple, yet elegant tags I created using Crafter's Companion stamps and Spectrum Noir Markers.

I simply punched the tags out of white cardstock and stamped images (using Memento Tuxedo Black) from the Stamp It Floral Fancies collection.  These are so elegant and really so much fun to color in.

I decided to stick with the same color family for each flower.  I changed the greens slightly for the leaves, but the petals all remained the same purple combo.

When I was done coloring with my Spectrum Noirs, I inked up the edges and used a sponger to soften the harsh white background.

To finish them off, I punched a hole and added some sheer brown ribbon.  These are perfect for birthdays, Mother's Day or even a Just-Because gift!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tags!

Hi!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas (and Boxing Day too, to my Canadian pals)! I have a few samples of the tags I used this year.  Even though these are Christmas-themed, they can EASILY be changed to birthday, Valentine's Day (not too far off, huh?!) or really any other holiday.  They are that simple.

The background is Circletastic.  I used a PTI die for the tags it was very easy to create.  I scored it first and then folded it so it cut through 2x.  I just left the fold out of the die so that part of the tag didn't get cut off.

I used the snowflakes from Christmas Medley for my gift tags.  For my baked goodies, I used a PTI set I've had for a while.

That little ceramic dishes came from Michael's - they were $.50 each! SCORE! I simply wrapped some bakers twine around the dish, to hold everything together and it was done.  I filled it with homemade chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, chocolate-peanut butter squares and homemade salted caramel (this one is to die for).  For my two bosses, I also ended up sticking a gift card into the back.

I'm also happy to say that I finally got an SLR camera for Christmas this year! YAY - no more plain old point and shoot!!! I'm really excited and I'm trying to get the hang of it all (the last time I was able to play around with aperture and f-stops was my Senior Year in High School and I won't say how long ago that was!).  I just wanted to share a few shots I've taken.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back soon!

A Few More Projects!

I've been working on random cards and projects the last few weeks and I wanted to share them with you!

This is a card I made for my mom to thank her for everything she does.  I gave it to her with a sparkly black pumpkin she had been eyeing at the store.  She also loves fall (like me!), so I stuck with a fall themed card.  It literally took me under 10 minutes.

The next card is for my Sister-in-Law's birthday.  She's a big reader, so I figured this was appropriate.  I used Copics to color in the twine and flowers so everything matched.  I did a little heat embossing on the Kraft cardstock, too.

This next one is for my Mother-in-Law's birthday (I know, my poor husband - both of their birthdays and MINE, plus our wedding anniversary ALL in October).  I used my Copics to color in the flowers.  I really like how this one came out.  This was one of those cards that I started and then I didn't know what to do with it.  The Mojo had to kick in first!  :)

And lastly, here is an altered mint tin I made with (surprise!!!) Christmas tags inside.  This is going to be a St. Nicholas Day gift.  I think I'm going to add some more tags to it, though, but label tags, not hanging tags! I'm running out of room inside and the labels will take up less space.

Thanks for looking! I hope one of these projects gave you a little bit of inspiration!
